We begin this remarkable day with an exploration of the masterpieces of the city's Golden Age including a visit to world renowned Acropolis, where we will marvel at the ancient glory of the eternal Parthenon, built 2400 years ago. Continue for a visit of the folk museum and then lunch. Return to our hotel for our lecture. Dinner at the hotel.

Leave by the coastal road along the Saronic Gulf to the Corinth Canal, which con­nects the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea. (Short stop). Drive on to Mycenae: the city "rich in gold" of the ancient poets. We stop for a BBQ lunch and continue to Epidaurus to visit the ancient theater (4th century BC). Return to our hotel in Athens for our today's lecture and dinner.

Today we visit the Cycladic Art Museum where various articles of the Cycladic islands are exhibited, followed by a visit to the Byzantine museum, where we marvel at the treasures of the Byzantium. Continue to Lycabettus Hill, from where we have a breathtaking view of Athens. Lunch at Dionyssos restaurant. Lecture and dinner at the hotel.

Our tour today takes us along the coastal road, to reach the most southern point of Attica; Cape Sounion, where the majestic white marble pillars of the Temple of Poseidon stand. Continue for a visit of a traditional winery in the wine region called "Mesogia" and then on for a tasty lunch in Koropi village. Dinner tonight will be in Piraeus.

Accompanied by our professor, today we visit Delphi; considered the center of the ancient world! Visit the treasury of the Athenians, the temple of Apollo and the museum containing such masterpieces of ancient Greek sculpture as the bronze Charioteer and the famous athlete Aghias. Lunch in Delphi, dinner at our hotel.

This morning a cooking lesson on traditional Greek cuisine. The remainder of the day free to explore Athens on your own. Tonight a diploma ceremony at our hotel followed by a wonderful farewell dinner.
